What does a band take with them on Tour?

I know the basics. The band obviously needs their instruments and
amplifier. The amps will be miced to a mixer, and played through the
house speakers and the monitors for the band to hear themselves. Does
the band have to bring their own mixer, monitors and house speakers,
or would to venue provide that for you? (assuming it's just a small
venue like a bar, or club holding 200-300 people)

I'm still confused about what is hooked up to what, and all the names
of all the cords and wires and EVERYTHING, but I understand that will
come with experience.
